Carne Asada Steak Marinade:

1/3 cup of Olive Oil
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
Juice of 1 Lime
1 Tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
1 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Ancho Chili Powder
1 Tsp Cumin
1 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Pepper

Add marinade ingredients into a bowl and stir together. Coat steak (I prefer to use skirt steak for this) with marinade up to 24 hours before cooking. Honestly, I usually do it about 2-3 hours before cooking and it's usually plenty of time! You don't want to marinade the steak too far ahead of time as the acid in the lime will begin to break down the steak. I sear the steak on the grill for about 1 minute each side and then reduce to medium high heat for another 3 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness (I prefer medium rare).
